This and this make me wish I’d watched the debate.
This and this make me somewhat glad that I didn’t.
And then there’s this:
…for all his ducking and weaving [Obama] never really got hit. To use a different metaphor, there was no knockout blow that is going to send Pennsylvania voters and undecided superdelegates scurrying to Clinton.
First, why does she need a “knockout blow?” Second, she already has Pennsylvania — and has had it for quite a while.
Seems someone is playing the “High Expectations” game with Clinton; raise the bar to the stratosphere and then criticize her for not being able to reach such a ridiculous height.
Meanwhile… I have to agree with Jeralyn; Obama got rolled — even wingnut Jonah Goldberg says so. But it’s been long overdue and the media is going to be doing it more often, so maybe we’ll finally get to see how Obama deals with a campaign where his rival isn’t taken out by a sex scandal and where the media doesn’t genuflect to him.
And despite the overwhelmingly negative response to the trivia that Gibson and Stephanopoulos focused on, there was at least one gem in the dungheap: The Ayers connection is a valid issue. It begs the question: Why is Barack Obama attracted to radical black* activists?
*Was totally thinking about Jeremiah Wright at the time I wrote that; William Ayers is white.

Agreed….she wasnt the one who needed the knockout. She is just focused on winning PA now.
I’ve been waiting for the media to finally put Obama under the microscope and dissect him, but most of the crap I’ve read and clips I’ve seen did not examine the right things. Still, this is what every Democratic presidential candidate (excluding Obama) has had to contend with from the first day the trial balloon is floated that “Democrat X” is possibly going to announce his candidacy for the presidency; Obama hasn’t had to face such intense scrutiny before and I think he’s not going to handle the next few weeks well at all.
Not that I particularly mind that.
