And might I also add that Obama’s fraudulent “victory” speech — if it actually comes — is also a slap in the face of Oregonians. After all, shouldn’t the state that (according to Obama) put him over the top in delegates be part of his historic speech as the first black de facto presidential candidate chosen by a major American political party?
Sorry Oregon. Guess not.
Obama must arrogantly believe that neither the media nor any one in the party’s leadership will have the courage to reveal that Emperor Barry has no clothes; the result of such malfeasance will be the evaporation of support for Clinton from a bamboozled public thinking Obama has clinched the nomination.
Of course the Republicans will leap on Obama’s lies and run tons of ads and give wonderfully-vicious sound bites and after two weeks, when the public finally gloms-on to how they’ve been suckered, they’ll turn to McCain.
Then again, this has been a very effective way of Obama keeping his name in the news cycles and directed away from closer examinations of his past and his policies that 3 or 4 journalists might have wanted to conduct but who are on deadline for Iowa tomorrow night. It’s also served as a distraction for the Clinton campaign, which has been shouting from the rooftops that Obama is about to lie his ass off.
What if he didn’t? What if he just makes a regular speech and leaves it at that. That would generate even more buzz. And make Clinton look foolish.
If he actually does make a “victory” speech, I think his candidacy will doom the party. But you know what? Right now, the Green Party is looking so much nicer anyway…
