Two years ago I wrote this about Aravosis:
John Aravosis has become the “Jack McFarland” of the liberal blogosphere: Shallow, campy, and outrageous.
Actually, I’m being overly generous; McFarland would recognize, three or four times a season, that his self-involvement and his selfishness hurt the people he claimed to care about, and would apologize for his behavior — even if half-assedly.
Aravosis, on the other hand, has chosen to adopt a George W. Bush style of insensitivity, declaring anyone who disagrees with him to be “The Enemy” and refusing to tolerate dissent.
Aravosis hasn’t changed a bit; today he had the gaul to issue what almost amounts to an ultimatum: Clinton “supporters have this week to get on the bus, or the bus is leaving, and they’re not going to like where it’s left them.”
Here’s someone who was told for the better part of his life that his thoughts and feelings were repugnant, abhorent, and needed to be shed in favor of conforming to the rest of the group basically telling Clinton supporters that they are repugnant, abhorent, and need to conform to the rest of the group.
Yes, there’s a difference between being born gay and choosing a political candidate, but I’d think anyone who’s been threatened with persecution or outright persecuted for not being “like everyone else” would have a lot more sympathy and empathy for others in the same boat, even though it’s for a far different reason.
But then, this is John Aravosis we’re talking about. John has managed to overlook Obama’s paper-thin support for gay rights, and his embrace of Donnie McClurkin, so I guess I shouldn’t expect much from Johnnie.

I’ve been amazed by Aravosis’ transformation. Over a year ago I used to read his blog daily and donated a substantial amount to his site re-design. Now it’s become totally consumed with Hillary hate and you are instantly banned if you defend her in even the most tepid manner.
The vile personal attacks out of Americablog have been beyond belief. They have dug up every anti-Clinton GOP meme from the 90’s. John has even been linking constantly to Politico and Drudge. That tell you a lot.
One incident really says it all. Several months ago when Hillary’s campaign came out with a commercial that was seen as some kind of “Up With People” campiness by her detractors, Aravosis went on the attack. He posted a video on his site that showed people reacting to the video “2 girls 1 cup” but said it was people reacting to Hillary. This is how low pigs like Aravosis have gone. He had to remove the video within 24 hours when people pointed out what a disgusting personal attack it was.
So as Hillary supporters, we have been told we are embracing pure evil, a liar, a whore, and a wicked white witch. And yet Aravosis and the Obamaniacs are calling for “unity” and everyone joining behind Obama. Hello? If Hillary was chosen as the nominee, what the hell do you think these haters would be doing? They are so two-faced and hypocritical.
“Hello? If Hillary was chosen as the nominee, what the hell do you think these haters would be doing? They are so two-faced and hypocritical.”
Damn straight. If Clinton was the one being given the “kid glove” treatment by the media, if Clinton was the one benefiting from a perversion of the democratic process and running a vicious smear campaign against Obama while decrying such campaigns, the Obama zealots would be howling bloody murder and vowing to leave the party.
Hypocrites.
