As obliquely-noted earlier, dday has called on Obama to halt the Democratic Party’s capitulation to Bush, the GOP, and the telecom industry. That Congressional Dems are once again selling out their allegedly-espoused ideals is yet another fine example that the party can no longer be trusted to safeguard, let alone promote, liberal values.
The Green Party can be turned into a viable political alternative by so-called Clinton Democrats; all it takes is the same determination and tenacity that Clinton supporters poured into Clinton’s campaign.
It beats staying in what sadly mirrors an abusive relationship with the Democratic Party, or voting for McCain in hopes of damaging or destroying that party, doesn’t it?
And before anyone points out that Senator Clinton would strongly disagree and want us to stay, allow me to point out that the senator has much more invested in that party than the average Democrat, and what she feels is best for her isn’t necessarily what’s best for the rest of us.
