(See “Mississippi Schedules a Murder, Part I” here.)
The state of Mississippi has committed murder. No doubt the red-neck, white-trash, blue-collar trolls who think that it can’t happen to them or one of their family members are dancing with joy, reveling in their temporarily-sated bloodlust inbetween pious and completely phony exhortations about the sanctity of life.
Now how bizarre is it that Mississippi’s governor, Haley Barbour, could see fit to commute the life sentence of murderer Michael David Graham and set him free, but not show the same clemency to a mentally-ill man who didn’t kill anyone?
Graham, 54, has served 19 years of a life sentence. On April 7, 1989, Graham pulled up next to his ex-wife, Adrienne Klasky Graham, aimed a 12-gauge shotgun at her as she sat in her car waiting for a traffic signal at the Jackson Avenue and Pascagoula Street intersection, fired and killed her. The couple had been divorced three years, yet Graham reportedly stalked and threatened his ex-wife during that time. It is easy to assume she lived and died in a state of terror.
A retired Pascagoula police officer, Jamie Hunter, said the close range shotgun blast to the head was “gruesome. “
Klasky’s father, Lyle owner of the old Brumfield’s Department Store, was across the street when the murder occurred, according to Hunter. One can only imagine the horror that father experienced when he viewed the crime scene…
The gravity of the crime would seem to preclude parole. Graham publicly executed the mother of his two boys.
Oh, wait. Maybe this explains Barbour’s unusual action:
For the past eight years, Graham has been a trusty at the governor’s mansion. Perhaps it is in that setting that Graham gained the favor he was denied by the parole board.
Wonder what Graham is blackmailing Barbour with? If only Bishop had been a position to do the same, I bet he’d be alive.

such a tragedy and yet there is another story of a little spoiled rich girl torturing her ex, dangleing their two small children just beyond his reach. her promises for him to see them….her lies….her nasty comments about a girlfriend as he tryed to make a new life for himself. her family encouraging her fantasy. two sides to ever story
First, we have no idea if any of that is true. Second, your misogyny is typical of right-wing extremists. Why don’t you just come right out and say, “She brought it on herself.” As if anything she did or didn’t do but should’ve would justify having her head blown-off by her cowardly husband. You’re sick.
k,
In response to your comments, you do not have ALL the facts. I have every legal document that transpired between the two of them. I have witnessed his abuse toward Adrienne. He saw his children. Because of his abuse they had to exchange them in front of the Pascagoula Police department. He even assaulted HIS own attorney, for not providing a better defense. Michael David Graham was abusive, stalked her, her family and her friends for years. He told her he would kill her numerous times. You need to get the facts straight.
Thank you Marie. Sorry for the lateness of comment approval.
I grew up in Pascagoula. I worked in downtown Pascagoula when this happened. I was walking back to downtown area after it happened. I saw city personnel trying to get her out of the car. I remember what I was told by the personnel. I worked next door to Adriene. My family knew her family. She went to work everyday. She did not deserve this. Her father was elderly and raised her kids. He was a good man who worked hard for what he had. He was broken after her death but he was always at the ballfields taking his grandchildren to their games. He kept going in the years he should have enjoyed with his entire family, including his daughter.
To “k”- you have a mental illness, and you are sick. Your attitude can only be similar to Michael Graham’s when he stalked his ex-wife and her family, beat up his attorney, and yes, shot her robbing her and her family of their daughter, sister, and mother.
Thank you, kelson. As with Marie, sorry for the late comment approval.
